Beeston Canal, Nottinghamshire...

Over 150 pegs of very good canal fishing to the west of Nottingham. Being joined at each end to the River Trent means that all the species of fish in the Trent are probably in the canal. Roach and Bream are predominant, however large Chub and even the odd Carp are also caught. There are various points of access and good towpaths make it ideal for disabled anglers on certain lengths.

How to get there...

Low peg no's (Nottingham end) from Dunkirk Island on the A52 go along Abbey Street to traffic lights. Turn right into Gregory Street, over the canal and turn right into Willow Road. Park where the River Leen flows under the road and follow the path alongside the river to the canal. Peg 1 is to the left where the river Leen flows under the canal.

High peg nos directions as for Beeston Weir.
