Kings Mill Reservoir, Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire...

A very large but shallow Reservoir containing some very large Carp. Fish to 30lb have been reported but are elusive due to night fishing not being allowed on this water. Roach, Bream and Hybrids are also present, the pegs at the dam end where the depth is around 6ft giving the best chance of success. Access is available at both ends of the Reservoir, although at the moment due to the construction of a new road the access may be restricted at certain times. Once on site there is ample parking. Night fishing is not allowed and there is a Closed season from the 15th March to the 31st April Inclusive.

How to get there...

Follow the A60 North towards Mansfield. Turn left at the Larch Farm traffic lights towards Kirkby in Ashfield. After just over ½ mile turn right into the B6139 Coxmoor Road and continue along this road until you reach a railway crossing. At the next set of Traffic lights turn right and the entrance to the reservoir is on the right. To get to the Dam end continue to the next set of traffic lights and turn right then take the first right into Kings Mill Lane.
