River Soar, Beeby's Meadow and Woodside, Near Kegworth, Nottinghamshire...

Quite an underated stretch of the River Soar on the Nottinghamshire/Leicestershire border. Members that do fish it have reported some very good Bream and Chub. At the moment this is for members only.

Woodside field from Kingston Dyke downstream to the fence adjacent to the wood. New for the 2004 season this stretch looks very promising with some very good feature pegs and some nice bends in the river. Ideally suited to stick and waggler fishing, some very big Bream and Chub have been caught by the members of the previous club.

How to get there...

From Nottingham take the A453 towards J24 of the M1. Just after Ratcliffe Power Station turn left into Kegworth Road for just over a mile. Access to Woodside is over a gate on the right just before Kingston Dyke. Access to Beeby Meadow is over a gate on the right just past the left turn to Kingston on Soar. Parking in laybys and on verge.
