River Trent, East Bridgford, Nottinghamshire...
Approx 2 miles of prime river fishing with Chub Roach and Barbel the predominant species. This is probably the most picturesque stretch of the Trent that comes under our control with the vast majority of the stretch being at the bottom of a heavily wooded bank. However the access to a lot of the pegs is very good with a large car park on the river bank. From the car park Gunthorpe weir is approx 25 pegs upstream. Day tickets are available on the bank however the first 200 yards below the weir is strictly members only. How to get there... From Lowdham Roundabout take the A6097 to Gunthorpe Bridge. Turn left after the bridge and continue along Trent Lane up into East Bridgford Village. Turn left at the crossroads and continue for ½ mile where you then turn into Green Lane. Continue along this track going straight on down the steep hill into the car park at the bottom of the hill. |
