Approximately 3/4 mile of decent river fishing just upstream of Newark. The upstream end of the stretch below the marina entrance is ideal stick float water with the downstream end being wider and slower moving and good on waggler or feeder. Roach ,Bream, Chub, Barbel and Perch are all present with some Carp often caught at the bottom end. Day Tickets are available on the bank. No Night Fishing. Closed Season 15th March to 15th June Inclusive.Cars must not be taken upstream of the car park.
How to Get There
From Lowdham Roundabout take the A6097 over Gunthorpe Bridge for 3 1/2 miles to the A46 Roundabout and turn left. Continue along the A46 for 7 ¾ miles towards Newark and turn left at Farndon Crossroads into Main Street. Continue for 660yards to the public car park on the left. Access to the water is by walking 350 yards downstream and over the marina bridge. For the lower end of the water continue along the A46 for another 1/2 mile and turn into Long Lane, continue for ¼ mile until lane turns into track and continue along track for 3/4 mile to car park. Cars must not be taken upstream of car park.
