River Trent, Farndon

Approximately 3/4 mile of decent river fishing just upstream of Newark. The upstream end of the stretch below the marina entrance is ideal stick float water with the downstream end being wider and slower moving and good on waggler or feeder. Roach ,Bream, Chub, Barbel and Perch are all present with some Carp often caught at the bottom end. This water is now Members Only. No Day Tickets. Night Fishing is allowed with a Night Permit . Closed Season 15th March to 15th June Inclusive.
Cars must not be taken upstream of the car park.

How to Get There
From Lowdham Roundabout take the A6097 for 3 1/4 miles over Gunthorpe Bridge to the new A46 raised Roundabout and turn left. Continue along the A46 (New Dual Carriageway) towards Newark and continue to Farndon Roundabout.turn left at the roundabout into Fosse Road (Old A46). After 3/4 Mile Turn right into Main Street and Continue for 660yards to the public car park on the left. Access to the water is by walking 350 yards downstream and over the marina bridge. For Access to the downstream end of the stretch, from Farndon roundabout travel 400 yards along Fosse Road and turn right into Long Lane. Continue along Long Lane for 1 Mile (Road turns into a track)Car parking is available in the small car park at the bottom of the track.Cars must not be taken upstream of car park.
